Frequently Asked Questions
What computer do I need to attend 91探花?
A basic laptop computer will serve the needs of almost all students. We recommend your computer meet the following minimum specifications:- Operating System: Windows 10 or macOS 10.15 Catalina or higher
- Portability: laptops (as opposed to desktop computers) are recommended
- Memory: minimum of 8GB RAM (16GB recommended).
- Processor Speed: Minimum of Intel Core i5 or equivalent
- Hard Drive/SSD: 256 GB or larger
All modern laptops come equipped with wireless capabilities. However, not all laptops come with a network port for wired connectivity. We recommend that you do afford yourself the option of plugging into the wired network. This can be extremely helpful during peak wifi usage. If the laptop you’re bringing doesn’t have its own built-in network port, consider purchasing a USB to Network adapter.
Should I bring my own printer?
No. Students are encouraged to take advantage of their print credit and utilize campus print services and network printers. Wireless printers interfere with Wi-Fi and diminish network performance. My personal computer is not working. Can you repair it?
Students are responsible for maintaining and repairing their technology equipment. The Help Desk can assist with basic troubleshooting, however, all repairs will need to be made by a local repair facility or the manufacturer.
