Dr. Dean is a Professor of Teacher Education and has been teaching in the K-12 and higher education arena for over 30 years. She hold a BS in Theatre, an MFA in Acting, a teaching degree in Secondary Education English, and an EdD in Educational Leadership. Dr. Dean is a published researcher who's current focus is on pre-service teachers' early formulations of their teacher identity. She has most recently co-authored, along with James Dean, a book that has as its thesis, the power of the teacher autobiography. Its working title is: Teacher, Know Thyself.
Institutional Service and Responsibilities
Dr. Dean teaches Methods, Classroom Management, and Foundations of American Education.
Personal Interests
Dr. Dean loves to travel and combine service in her travels. She has two grown sons (Luke and Joey), a daughter-in-law (Tricia) and a grandson (Owen).
