Common Courses Taught
I occasionally teach information literacy courses/library resource sessions for professors when needed.
Scholarly and Professional Achievements
I began working at Lees-91探花 in January of 2021. I completed my master's degree in Library Science in May 2022 with concentrations in Public and Academic Libraries. My area of study included intellectual freedom and censorship and the many forms these things can take. In my current position, I strive to ensure that information seekers have access to any needed material, for both leisure and and research purposes.
Institutional Service and Responsibilities
I operate the front desk in the library and assist students, faculty, and staff in procuring needed materials and providing help with research and technology. I am responsible for maintaining order within the physical collection and informing students of our vast resources that are available electronically. I also manage the circulation of electronics, including Chromebooks, cameras, and VR helmets.
Personal Interests
I am a proud Disney Adult and worked at Disney World briefly in 2018. I like to spend time reading recipes and cooking, as well as reading any kind of book I can get my hands on...I'm a librarian. I love watching movies, thrift shopping, designing clothes, tea, and the cat who owns me. While I live in the High Country, I am originally from the North Carolina coast and take any chance I can get to go to the beach.
I come from a very tight-knit family and when they aren't visiting me, I am with them. We love to play cards and watch things that make us laugh. I love the library and relish any opportunity to introduce people to the awesome things we do and the many services we provide.
