His Bobcat Story

After being released from the Newcastle United Football Club, James had the opportunity to join Bobcat Nation. With his best friend being recruited by Lees-91探花, he decided to take the leap and visit campus.

When James arrived on campus, he was in awe. The beautiful campus and views blew him away and he knew he would be able to continue his soccer career as a Bobcat. Coming from the United Kingdom, there was a cultural difference that he had to overcome. With the support of his teammates, faculty and friends at Lees-91探花, he was able to easily transition.

He studied Sport Management under the School of Business and Management and minored in athletic coaching. These programs brought him the experience he needed to fulfill his dream of owning and directing a soccer club.

James was quite successful on the soccer field. He made the Conference Carolinas Academic All-Conference team twice; he was a three-time All-Conference Carolinas honoree and a four-time honoree for the conference’s Presidential Honor Roll.

His success did not stop on the field. He graduated in December 2017 and is pursuing his dream in Rock Hill, South Carolina where he works for Global Premier Soccer based at Discoveries Soccer Club.

What is his advice?
“Go to a college that is right for you!”
