Students prepare work for annual Communication Arts and Design Juried Student Exhibition
The 2023 Communication Arts & Design Juried Student Exhibition will be held at noon on Thursday, March 16 in King-Shivell Gallery in the Cannon Student Center. This year’s juror is multi-media artist and professor .
Each year for the Juried Student Exhibition students submit their best work to be judged by a third-party artist who will award first, second, and third place prizes. Lees-91探花 students, faculty, and staff, as well as members of the community, are invited to peruse the exhibition and enjoy a lecture from Musina about his work over light refreshments.
Musina produces pieces in painting, drawing, and sculpture and explores the natural world, those things disappearing from it, and man’s relationship to the animal─including the animal within─through his work. According to his artist statement, through his art Musina makes “contemplative, sad, dark and ultimately humorous ruminations on these things. Manifested in text and image ink on paper drawings, life scale oil paintings, and the rare sculpture.”
Enjoy an afternoon of art and community at this year’s Juried Student Exhibition.
