The recent acquisition of the South Campus at Grandfather Home doubled the size of the Lees-91探花 campus, but extra space is not the only new update to student life. This fall, the college will roll out several new technological advancements that will update student living and learning across campus.

Brivo Mobile Pass

A big priority in creating a comfortable living and learning environment at Lees-91探花 is security. All external doors on each of the nine residential buildings on South Campus have been fitted with top-of-the-line access control through .

Referred to as “the pioneer in cloud-based access control,” Brivo access points can be unlocked with a smart phone. This mobile access control will give students the option to forgo easy-to-lose key cards— just download the Brivo mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store for streamlined dorm access. Students who prefer to use physical key cards will still have that option.

Through the mobile app students will gain key access to the external doors on their assigned residential building with the tap of a finger. While Brivo systems are currently only installed on South Campus, install will soon begin on Avery Hall on North Campus, eventually being installed in residence halls throughout campus.

TimelyMD

To help students take better care of their physical and mental health while at college, Lees-91探花 is introducing TimelyCare, a virtual care service that provides 24/7 medical and mental health support.

This service will be available to all students through the TimelyCare app, where students can access services including psychiatry, health coaching, scheduled counseling, medical assistance, and more. Best of all, these services provided through TimelyCare are completely free for Lees-91探花 students.

With yoga and meditation guides, TalkNow services, and more, TimelyCare provides the next level of student safety by catering to their physical and emotional needs. Simply visit , or download the mobile app on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to learn more about their on-demand services.

SpectrumU

Entertainment can be just as crucial to student happiness, and SpectrumU, a new cross-campus television solution, will provide students with all the entertainment they could ask for. All on-campus housing residents will have access to SpectrumU services through the college’s network, giving students access to the service’s live TV and on-demand content.

Wireless and wired in-wall infrastructure will be installed in each residential room and all common spaces on South Campus. North Campus residence halls will feature access points in hallways and common areas allowing students to connect to the wireless internet using their mobile devices in their individual rooms. Students can then access the SpectrumU content by connecting to the network either through the internet or the ethernet.

These updates mean that SpectrumU can be accessed on virtually any device, anywhere across campus. Simply download the SpectrumU app or navigate to while connected to an authorized network to set up the service.

With the installation of SpectrumU, coaxial cable hook-ups in residence halls will no longer be functional. This will require students to use smart TVs and other devices that can connect to the network wirelessly or through an ethernet cable.

3. Download the app and open while connected to an authorized network.
4. Enter the domain .

Instructions for Roku

1. Visit the Roku Channel Store.
2. Search for “Spectrum TV” and download the app.
3. From a computer or smartphone, visit watch.spectrum.net/activate.
4. Enter the activation code displayed on the Roku “Let’s Get Started” screen and click submit.
5. Enter the domain lmc.edu.
6. Sign in with your Lees-91探花 account.
