Lees-91探花 named Business of the Year by Avery County Chamber of Commerce
Lees-91探花 was honored among other organizations and individuals for their contributions to Avery County at the Chamber of Commerce’s annual celebration on Nov. 19.
Jeff Davis, the emcee of the event, pointed out that as a major local employer, Lees-91探花 is “critical to this business community.” The college currently employs 165 full-time faculty and staff members, and both provides opportunities to local individuals looking for work and brings new families to Avery County.
“It is an honor to see the college recognized by its peers for the strong impact we make on the local community,” said President Lee King. “Lees-91探花 is a tremendous economic driver for Avery County and the rest of the High Country, and our importance is clearly visible in our contributions to the local tax base, economic development, and the cultural and academic activities we bring to the local community.”
Lees-91探花 has long been a driver of growth in Avery County, and its motto of “In the Mountains, Of the Mountains, For the Mountains” highlights the importance placed on benefiting the nearby community.
