New traditions and enduring spirit for Homecoming October 4–6

Alumni and other members of the Lees-91探花 family will gather to celebrate our mountain home during the annual Homecoming weekend October 4–6. This year’s events will feature all-new additions as well as some time-honored traditions.

The newly introduced Spirit Package provides a way to give back while showing off your Bobcat pride, because all proceeds support student scholarships. The set will feature unique designs by guest artists and the quantity of packages are limited, so get one while they last. This year’s package includes the official 2019 Homecoming shirt, an enamel campfire mug, a megaphone, and a car decal.

The weekend kicks off with a Welcome Home Block Party on Friday, Oct. 4 from 5:30–8 p.m. in Swank Park. Enjoy a barbecue dinner and dance to the music of local band Barefoot Modern featuring one of our Bobcat own, Tegan Dean ’21. We will recognize our student-athletes competing on Saturday and crown our Homecoming court before closing out the night with s’mores by the fire.

Before heading to the block party, catch up with old and new friends at group reunions hosted around campus by different programs, clubs, and organizations.

On Saturday morning, former athletes will compete against current students at the athletic alumni games, and distinguished alums will be awarded for their service at the Green and Gold Brunch. In the afternoon, the Lees-91探花 faithful will tailgate at Bobcat Bank during the men’s and women’s soccer games. Immediately following the matches, fans are invited on the field for friendly competitions with the players before concluding the night with a firework show starting at 8 p.m.

The weekend’s festivities will come to an end on Sunday, Oct. 6 with the Farewell Breakfast at the Needham Alumni House.
