Your quick guide to Spirit Week

September 22, 2017

Beginning on Monday, Sept. 25, campus will buzz with spirit, excitement and activities brought to you in a way that only Spirit Week and Homecoming can. However, before we can kick off Homecoming weekend on Friday, Sept. 29, read up on Spirit Week’s daily themes and featured events.

Start your Monday just like Oz the Great and Powerful by wearing lots of green and bling. Later that day at 6 p.m., head over to Evans Auditorium for the Blizzard of Bucks Game Show.

On Tuesday, replace your emerald green jewels for your most wacky and tacky clothing on Twister Tuesday. Gather your fellow friends for Necessities Bingo at 6 p.m. in Wily’s Bar & Grill.

Try saying Wednesday’s theme five times fast: Which Witch is Which Wednesday. Find your match on Wednesday’s twin day and enjoy a showing of The Wizard of Oz at 6 p.m. and The Wiz at 8 p.m., both in Evans Auditorium.

Home is for wearing pajamas and being comfortable all day, after all, There’s No Place Like Home. Sure, it’s not the weekend yet, but on this Thursday get pretty close and wear your pajamas all day! Thursday’s featured events include the Students v. Employees Volleyball Game at 6 p.m. in the Student Recreation Complex and the Women’s Volleyball Game at 7 p.m. at Williams Gymnasium.

Homecoming weekend is almost here, and we all know There’s A Storm Coming. Represent your class colors across campus Friday! Freshmen should wear white, Sophomores black, Juniors gold and/or yellow and Seniors green. Kick off this amazing weekend with a performance by Matt the Knife at 8:30 p.m. in Williams Gymnasium.

It’s Saturday! Which means it’s Homecoming Day! Wear your Homecoming shirt or your favorite Lees-91探花 gear! No matter what it is, show off your spirit! From the Health Fair to Tailgate, Homecoming Court and the Homecoming Party at 8 p.m, there is something for everyone.
